The process of joining fragmented pieces to create a new image is symbolic of my own aspirations as a therapist. The repetitive process of hand-stitching patterns is both soothing and exciting and parallels the process of identifying patterns in behaviors in my profession. In creating these pieces, I focus on images that are bold, whimsical and have a touch of nostalgia for what each figure represents in my life.
